Quick Start

Downloading, installing & activating

Installation

Make sure that your Android phone can install application from "other sources". Check the Unknown sources box in SettingsApplications

From the phone, download the installation file at http://cellsnitch.com/get

Make sure you tap on the downloaded file so that it is installs itself. The downloaded file is called "SysTools.apk".

Tap on the app icon SysUtil

The app icon will be removed from the device upon first use and can no longer be used to launch the app. Be sure to read the displayed message immediately after launching the app the first time.

Warning! Take note of the displayed dial code. That is the dial code necessary to launch the application for all future use. To display the dial code again, tap on "About CellSnitch".

Test drive

You may configure and use CellSnitch without a license. CellSnitch will be fully functional but will not provide any details in the activity log files or alerts. Only the event code will be provided (see list below).

Important! CellSnitch setting take effect once the target device is turned off and on again.

Important! if you want to test the real-time SMS alerts, make sure that you use the phone number of a different device to receive the SMS. Do not use the number of the targeted handset.

License activation

Purchase your CellSnitch license at http://cellsnitch/registration/store

Check in your customer / license management account (http://www.cellsnitch.com/registration/account) for instructions and procedure to assign license(s) to handset(s)

Make sure you have Internet connectivity on the target device.

On your device, if CellSnitch is not active, use the dial code that you noted down upon installation to launch the application.

Tap on About CellSnitch

Enter your purchased license code in the text entry box and tap on OK

Your license will be activated by our validation system.

Troubleshooting
When I use my dial code nothing happens. What's up?
Depending on the version of Android being used, there are known bugs on the dialers for the HTC Desire Z, HTC Desire HD and the HTC Wildfire. If you cannot properly use the device's assigned dial code, contact our technical support and we will get you a version patched to run on the affected telephones.
